Common questions
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. Every new install gets 14 days of Platinum free. Add a card only if you want to keep it.
What happens when the trial ends or I stop paying?
Your house drops to basic mode, never to nothing. The dashboard, controls, live cameras, notifications and every safety confirmation keep working, and automations saved in Home Assistant keep running. The assistants and AI features pause until you subscribe.
What does the subscription pay for?
Everything runs on your own box, so you aren't paying for our cloud. You're paying for new features and AI models, updates, the remote-access relay, and support.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac mini, a small Linux PC, a PorchIQ Hub, or the Home Assistant you already run. The hardware guide shows what each can handle.
What if my internet goes down?
PorchIQ keeps working. It checks its license once a day and runs for 30 days without the internet.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, any time, from your account. Upgrades start right away and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
I bought a PorchIQ Hub. Do I need a plan?
No. The Hub includes Basic for as long as the box runs, plus 30 days of Platinum to try.
Is my payment information safe?
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
