Cameras
Menu → Cameras
The Cameras page opens with a one-line summary of what's happening (“All quiet. The last thing was a person at the front door at 3:40 PM.”), how many cameras are up, and today's counts of people, vehicles, animals and packages. It has three tabs.
Cameras tab
- Size (S, M, L, XL) sets how many pictures fit across.
- By room or All together groups the cameras.
- Both houses shows every house's cameras on one page.
- Arrange lets you drag cameras into the order you like.
- Wall fills the screen with every camera, refreshing every two seconds. Good for a wall-mounted tablet or TV.
Live view
Tap a camera to watch it live. Live view plays real video, about two seconds behind real time. You can:
- Zoom: pinch on a phone, or press 🔍 Zoom and drag a box over what you want to see.
- Scroll the camera's recent events underneath, and tap one to play its clip. Back to live returns to the live picture.
- Turn on Narrate to have the assistant describe what the camera sees every few seconds. Changing soon
Close live view with the back arrow, Esc, or your phone's back gesture.
Timeline tab
Every detection from the last two weeks, newest first, with its picture. Tap one to see the moment and play its clip.

Show PorchIQ a photo, or describe what you're looking for (“a white pickup”, “the dog”, “someone in a red jacket”), and it lists where and when the cameras saw it, best match first. Drop, paste or take a photo, choose a time range, and tap a result to jump to that moment.
Thanks. It helps us make the guide better.
