People, roles and sign-in

Only people on PorchIQ's account list can open it. To add someone, go to Settings → Accounts, add their Google email, name and (for text alerts) mobile number, and choose a role.

For members, Home access sets what they can change in the pages they have:

• Look only: they can see but not change anything.
• Lights, climate, media, scenes: everyday controls, but not locks, gates, garage doors or alarms.
• Everything: all controls; sensitive ones ask first.
• No access: keeps the account but blocks PorchIQ.

Then tick the sections they can open, such as Cameras, Energy or a specific integration. Good for a house sitter who only needs Lights and Climate, or a pool service who only needs the pool page.

To give someone access from outside the home, also invite them to your Tailscale network, then they sign in with the Google account you added. Removing someone's access signs them out everywhere straight away; you can restore it any time.
