API keys

Scripts and other apps can read and control your houses with an API key. In Settings → API, choose Create key and a level:

• Read only: houses, devices and recent activity.
• Lights, climate, media, scenes: everyday controls.
• Everything: all controls. Locks, gates, garage doors and alarms still need an explicit confirm flag in the request, and are logged.

Copy the key when it's shown; it won't be shown again. Send it as Authorization: Bearer homek_…. The API tab lists every request with its result and time, so you can see what each key is doing. Revoking a key stops anything using it straight away.
